Project Manager

Location: San Jose, United States

The Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project using planning, monitoring and controlling processes. He is responsible for completion of the project on time, on budget and on spec. To this end, the PM performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, coordinating all resources and stakeholders; setting deadlines; assigning responsibilities; and monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of the project.

Project Management

  • Collecting and understanding the project requirements and translating these into functional specification.
  •  Creates and executes project work breakdown schedule and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Work with Resource Allocation Committee to Identify resources needed
  •  Breakdown the task and assign to each of the team members.
  •  Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  •  Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  •  Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  •  Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  •  Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  •  Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.

Project Accounting

  •  Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
  • Manages project budget.
  •  Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
  •  Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
  •  Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.

Technical Understanding

  • Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design. Specifically on:
  • Clearspace/Java, Web programming, Development frameworks
  • PHP, ROR
  • Enterprise Content Management.
  • Web2.0 application experience.
  • Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
