QA Lead

Location: San Jose, United States

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead design and implementation of QA processes for SourceN.
  • Testing Lifecycle: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Production Environment Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Installation Testing, Beta Testing.
  • Expertise in: Control Structure Testing, Condition Testing, Data Flow Testing, Simple/Nested/Concatenated/Unstructured Loop Testing, Graph Based Testing Methods, Equivalence Partitioning, Boundary Value Analysis, Comparison Testing, Orthogonal Array Testing, Scenario Based Testing, Exploratory Testing, Smoke Testing, Stress Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Flow Graph Notation, Cyclomatic Complexity, Graph Matrices,
  • Create and Execute --- Software Testing Framework, Testing Patterns, Black box and White box Techniques, Object Oriented Testing, Web Application Testing, Test Process Management, Understanding designing and Testing Use Cases.
  • Verification Strategy: Requirements Reviews, Design Reviews, Code Walkthroughs, Code Inspections
  • Deliverables include: Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Defect Reports, Status Reports [Daily/weekly/Monthly], Test Scripts, Metric Reports, Acceptance Test, Product Sign off Document.
  • Work with clients, project managers, director projects and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and develop test requirements, strategy and plan.
  • Familiarity with BUG tracking tools like BUGTRAQ, REDMINE and MANTIS.
  • Manage 3rd party test vendors as needed to execute plans.
  • Track bugs/defects and ensure they get resolved before time.
  • Create automated test suites for QA and QC.
  • Create a defect reporting process and present quality status to management, project sponsors and executive teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience with software testing and software test tools in a commercial environment required.
  • Applicable certifications and testing training a plus.
  • Experience with Selenium, Cactus, JUnit, Winrunner, Loadrunner frameworks required.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, SOAP, SOA, Web Services required.
  • BS Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans.
  • Utilize leading edge tools and techniques to ensure product quality.
  • Provide input into the design, engineering, integration, and security plans, to ensure quality is built-in.
  • Work with development teams to help them adopt sound, quality practices.
  • Provide quality input in relationships with component suppliers.
  • Build and maintain QA systems and procedures.

5 years testing experience required.
